Air to air view of No. 8 Squadron Vincent NZ328, PA-M, over the Gisborne break-water.
This Fletcher ZK-BWV aircraft replaced the Lodestar ZK-BUV, which was the first heavy aircraft used for aerial top-dressing, now being restored by the Gisborne Aviation Preservation Society.
This aircraft portrays the importance aerial top-dressing has been for developing the hill country of this district, pioneered by the late Lawson Field in 1949 using a Tiger Moth.

This 1985 tourism photograph was taken by Stephen Jones Photography whilst airborne with Russ McCulloch in his helicopter. Wonderful memory of Russ as we captured this moment in history to show the unique airport railway crossing here in Gisborne NZ., wonderful memory as the train waits for the DC3. RJ Sheldrake.
Also in Memory of local Helicopter Pilot Russ McCulloch 17 October 1984.
